Playing a mix of Rock, Midwest Emo, and Soul, Ocean Boosamra created music with the goal of showing love and beauty in every day life.
“I really just want to spread the love that I have for music and the world,” said Ocean.
Taking inspiration from artists like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Wonder, Ocean adds his own contemporary take on the music he writes.
Ocean has been experimenting with his musical talent since his childhood. “I started playing piano when I was five,” Ocean said, “then I started playing guitar with my first band when I was ten.”
Ocean has been a part of multiple bands in his musical journey and is currently working on his solo project, Ocean and the Universe. During this time, Ocean has experimented with the sound and message of his music.
“I made a solo album, but it was all sad music,” said Ocean, “[but through that process] it helped me become happy.”
In the process of making music, Ocean strives to make a space for people to relate and expand upon his message.
“I hope people can find something that they can resonate with, and with the community it creates.”
